Tagsmart Benefits:

  • PHYSICAL SECURITY

Each Certificate features multiple security measures. From the overt (e.g., unique cuts) to the covert (e.g., taggants and deformations), Tagsmart ensures the traceability of your artwork. Additionally, Tagsmart develops a personal  security profile for your artwork to further enforce its protection.

  • RECORD MANAGEMENT

Tagsmart is a regularly available database for artwork information. We maintain an archive of your Certifications, provenance and portfolio data, artwork transfers, and communication between various parties. A detailed and customised report is available upon request.

  • MEDIATED TRANSFERS

If a collector sells or passes on a work, the existing Certificate can be used to re-register the work in the new owner's name. This process is subject to individual security checks made by Tagsmart and requires the approval of the existing owner. A provenance trail of registrations is maintained in our archives.

  • REPLACEMENT AND REVOCATION

The holder can apply for a replacement Certificate if the previous one is damaged, lost, or stolen. The original Certificate will be revoked by Tagsmart and invalidated on the platform.

  • YOUR CUSTOM DESIGN

Our service allows the artist to design and produce a personalised Tagsmart Certificate template applicable for all your certificates.

  • SIGNATURE MANAGEMENT

Certificates can be signed by hand or digitally. Tagsmart generates variations of the signature so each Certificate has a unique version applied to it. The variety of signatures is another method of protecting the artwork’s authenticity and reducing forgeries.
